You work out so that you can be healthy and live the life you want! Yet, even days after your workout, your body groans with pain.
What’s going on!?
You love exercise. Or at least that’s what you tell yourself, your friends and anyone who asks.
And, you didn’t push yourself that hard! You eat well. You stretch. You hydrate. So why isn’t your body responding and recovering from pain symptoms more quickly?
If you are suffering from stubborn muscle pain, joint pain or leg pain after your workouts, and it seems to take an excessively long time to recover and heal, it may be time to take a few steps back and ask yourself some “tough” questions.
It’s time to look at the hidden reasons that contribute to your pain and learn the secret that will set you free.
Waiting and wishing it will go away won’t make it so.
So ask yourself the big question. The one you’ve been avoiding.
Do you really like this type of exercise? OR, does it cause you more stress? Are you doing it because it’s in vogue, and your friends all do it, or you feel you “should”, or there’s some type of pressure or expectations from yourself or others to do this?
What are your thoughts before, during and after your workout? Is there a small (or large) part of you that can’t wait for the whole thing to be over and done with? Do you groan every time you pull on your gear and step out of that door?
I know. Fake it till you make it, right?
Negative thoughts and emotions have real power. Americans don’t spend billions of dollars on therapists every year for the fun of it.
There’s much more to your body and your well being than the physical.
Your body is made of energy!
Your thoughts, feelings and emotions are also made up of energy. That energy is powerful and influences your physical body. So when you are thinking about how you wish the exercising was over and you were back on your couch watching Netflix, it has a real physical impact.
When you repeatedly push and force yourself to do something you don’t really want to do, you are shoving your “truth”, your true emotions underground, and eventually… your inner self will rebel. Worse yet….that rebellion can and often does show up in your body…often as the symptoms of pain, including headaches, migraines, back, neck, shoulder pain and more! Yes, real pain.
Instead of working against your thoughts and feelings, work with them.
Dig deep. What don’t you like about your current exercise routine? What type of exercise makes you feel good and happy?
When you create activities and a routine you enjoy, you are building a habit on a sustainable foundation. You are creating something that will actually last, and benefit you!
Instead of treating your body like a servant or the enemy, embrace its needs and begin creating movement and an exercise routine that really works for you.
But, this isn’t the only reason you are hurting!
So, to help you uncover more of the real, deeper, HIDDEN roots that cause your pain and symptoms, I got together with my friend Dave Smith, and we created a special podcast on this very subject…. for people just like you.
When you Listen to our Podcast, you’ll learn what’s holding you back, and I share a simple, powerful tool you can start doing, starting today that will make a huge difference in the way you feel.
